汉语言文学和汉语国际教育各有特色。汉语言文学是研究中国语言的词语、句法，赏析古今诗歌、散文、小说等众多的文学作品，熟悉有关编辑出版的基本知识。本专业培养具有汉语言文学基本理论、基础知识和基本技能，能在新闻文艺出版部门、高校、科研机构和机关企事业单位从事文学评论、汉语言文学教学与研究工作，以及文化、宣传方面的实际工作的汉语言文学专门人才。汉语国际教育专业培养掌握扎实的汉语基础知识，具有较高的人文素养，具备中国文学、中国文化、跨文化交际等方面的专业知识与能力。能在国内外各类学校从事汉语教学。在各职能部门、外贸机构、新闻出版单位及企事业单位从事与语言文化传播交流相关工作的中国语言文学学科应用型专门人才。2013年国家专业目录中对外汉语更为汉语国际教育。

很久不上知乎了，我觉得我基于讨论问题的态度已经很温和了为啥有人胡搅蛮缠呢？而且这个回答已经过去很久了我说的是汉语言文学 简称中本 和汉语国际教育的区别，下文中不恰当的把汉语言文学省略成了汉语言，是我的错，我也在评论里说明了，如果各位有高见可以直接在评论中解释一下，否定了我之后又不给出回答就很烦人作为一名汉语国际教育专业的毕业生+准研究生，快让我来回答这个问题！很多人说差不多，其实是不对的。（以我自己为例）在本科阶段，似乎汉语言文学的专业课我们也学，但是我们学院还是有一些非常细致的区别。比如说，汉语言的现代汉语和语言学纲要排课量是一周一节，而我们是一周两节。相反的是，国教的文学理论和西方文论是一周一节，而汉语言是一周两节。很明显了吧，国教的授课更偏向语言，而汉语言偏向文学。当初我选择读国教这个专业的理由很可笑，汉语言和国教的学费是一样的，但是课程却要多出一倍，我就想一样的钱可以学更多的东西，赚了啊！（感觉自己当年真的蠢〒_〒）汉语国际教育大一大二的课程几乎是和汉语言一样的，但是！汉语言的英语课是大学外语，而我们！不上大学外语，我们上英语精读，英语听力，英语口语，英语写作（折磨到大三才会彻底结束）大二下学期—到大三之后我们就会开自己的专业课，比如说二外（我选的是韩语，别问为什么，因为比起另一门西班牙语，韩语简直简单死了，学分绩点才是最重要的啊！！）还有对外汉语教学概论、语言学概论、二语习得、对外汉语心理学，中国文化概论巴拉巴拉等等对外方面的课程。这些课看起来乱七八糟的，但其实这些都是考研的时候你的专业课必读书。然后说一下微格教学课，因为我们是师范专业，所以会有一门这个课程，汉语言的微格教学是以高中课本作为教材，而我们是以《博雅汉语》《跟我学汉语》等作为教材。这也是区别。还有是实习单位，我们的实习是去到大学里的留学生班级去参与教学，而汉语言的实习是去到各个初高中去教学。也是区别。最后，说一下关于就业方面的区别，身边很多汉语言的同学都选择考公务员和事业编制，但是我想说，汉语国际教育在这两方面是比较吃亏的，有很多很多单位，招考汉语言却不招汉语国际教育，事业单位的语文老师也是，岗位选择很少。国教的就业方面主要是留学生这一块（如果你想专业对口的话），我的同学们毕业有一部分作为汉语志愿者出国教学去了（也挺好的，毕竟又挣钱又能见识到不一样的风景人文），一部分出国留学深造，一部分考研继续读书，还有一部分考了事业编制当了高中老师，最后一部分去了私立学校当初高中老师。所以，两个专业都有所长，然而客观来说，汉语言作为老牌专业，被社会认可度更高，但是可喜可贺的是，由于一带一路政策，使我们这个专业最近几年爆火，不过虽然很火，他的就业前景看着花团锦簇，实际上并不如汉语言稳定。关于这两个专业的选择，还是看自己追求的是什么吧。}
