虚幻引擎总是能赋予开发商更强的能力,所见即所得’的平台。要知道,很多早期的引擎还需要自己编辑文本文件,或者是无法预览效果。今年晚些时候,当人们欣赏到虚幻引擎4后,会被其深邃的特效所震撼到,”马克·瑞恩说道。正在进行的年度D.I.C.E峰会上,我们也希望了解到更多有关这款新引擎的情报。美国著名媒体《连线》日前有幸见识了Epic的旷世“新作”,虚幻引擎4的演示Demo,在大约2分半的演算动画里,浑身湿透,盛赞这是“异形”之父H.R.Giger和《冰与火之歌》作者“GeorgeR.R.Martin”的“私生子”。
今天之前,虚幻引擎论坛成员“Koola”向我们展示了两张非常逼真的海边砾石场景,相信看过的朋友都记忆犹新。今天,“Koola”再次公布了一段视频来展示他的这个项目。

造福游戏开发者: 虚幻4引擎今天宣布免费开放!
Epic&Games今天宣布旗下最新的游戏开发引擎虚幻4引擎(Unreal&Engine&4)向所有开发者免费开放,移动游戏、PC游戏和主机游戏都可以使用最新的虚幻4引擎。之前,虚幻4引擎虽然每个月的价格只是19元,但是现在入场价免费,对独立游戏开发者来说还是件好事吧。
可能之前Unity3D引擎宣布免费开放消息的刺激,所以Epic&Games才宣布虚幻4引擎也免费开放,果然有竞争就有进步。而且Epic&Games还表示,除了虚幻4引擎免费开放,公司旗下其他所有引擎都免费开放。当然了,所有通过虚幻4引擎开发的游戏,开发者只有每个季度收入是在3000美元以下才不需要付费,超过3000美元的部分要按照5%的比例付给Epic&Games。这样说起来,虚幻4引擎免费开放的消息对小开发者来说还是更有益,对于大型游戏公司,免费之后要交的钱恐怕更多,因为这种免费方式实在有点像现在大多数游戏采取的免费增值模式。
