#2 Letting Go of Fear! As High School Students we all have to deal with Fear, whether its a fear of failing a test or the fear of rejection. Fear can be a tremendous barrier keeping us from doing many things like standing up for whats right or even sharing your faith in school. God tells us not to be afraid because we have him watching over us every day as it says in psalm 23:4 , and in deuteronomy 31:8. With God walking beside us and going before us what do we have to fear? Fear comes from Hate, Jealousy, and worry, and in turn Fear brings more Hate, Jealousy, and Worry. As you can see this is an awful chain but Don't worry with God's help we can break it.
Before you continue the following lesson ask yourself these two questions.Do I find myself struck with Fear at times?Do I often Fear about my future?1 What is your biggest Fear?2 The best way to get rid of fear is to show someone your fear and let them help you through it, is there any one you trust enough to show your fear to?3 Do you believe God is in control of the things that happen around you, and that he will watch over you like the verses said?4 Trusting God (like we talked about last week) ,and letting go of Fear go hand in hand, do you trust God enough to go and do whatever he says at this point in your life?
5 Do you think your Fears hold you back from standing up for what you believe in, and sharing your faith with others?See you next week same place same time!!!
