well Windows 7 is still at testing stages, so you can't expect it to work without any problems, or not have to work around things
and i bet they are aware, most of these issues will be corrected before the product goes into retail stores, then they can start finding bugs from the mass user base, and we will have a service pack in no time
you can't find all these bugs on your own, no matter how much you work on it, they start showing up when more users are using the product, and then they can work on fixing it
thats why Microsoft products are not 100% up to scratch when released
for me i am going to stick to Vista Ultimate x64 SP2 for awhile
but i might install the RC since i downloaded it and test it for fun

Hopefully more a permanent solution untill Win7 is released:
The only way i can get my refresh rate to stick at 60Hz is by selecting the option "reduce DVI frequency on high-resolution displays" via the ccc DVI settings. Upon reboot the only available refresh rate is 60Hz and DXDIAG confirms this!
Res 1920 * 1200 @ 60Hz, monitor: Samsung SyncMaster 2443bw,
If there is such an option via the Nvidia control panel give this a go

Huh, never heard of this problem. Just looked at my monitor settings though and they are all at 59Hz, weird.

1、打开&NVIDIA&控制面板。2、显示-更改分辨率。3、自定义-创建自定义分辨率。4、在&display-mode（显示模式）的&refesh-rate(刷新率)里修改为&60Hz。5、点击&timing（计时），standard（标准）下拉选择&manual（手动）。6、Refresh&Rate（刷新率）的&Vertical（垂直）数字更改为&60.001。7、点测试，测试通过的话，就点确定。请注意，这些步骤需要对电脑有一定经验，新手请勿模仿。

本来想开始用win7的，而我的液晶显示器只有在75HZ时才会正常显示，60HZ有波浪纹结果刷新率不能自定义（N卡用的还是最新的显卡驱动），所有锁刷新率的工具都无法使用，这兼容性实在让人失望
WIN7&太TMD&杯具了，XP下一堆的软件到了WIN7都不好使了，而是玩游戏还经常报错

Re:[nvd11,14楼]&你的4G内存是破解的么？听说这样破解不是真的就有4G给你用，只是修改显示而已；孤岛危机在XP下也可以实现VH,通过解锁工具就可以实现，不过我说的不是VH哦，是UltraHIGH，我在WIN7下有运行DX10的UH画质玩过，感觉不出区别；游戏在WIN7下报错我怀疑还是WIN7的兼容问题
有没有高手在WIN7下成功实现自定义刷新率，并锁定刷新率的，求助求助~

跑题了，不谈WIN7兼容性，这个WIN7刷新率锁定按照LZ的做法我实现不来，有没有高手来传授下如何用其他方法锁定刷新率呢
