你可以看成是有或者不受控制的来到了那块地方，然后霸占之，然后在那里盘踞。而你扫描出之后则可以前去剿灭，获取战利品等。由于敌人都是不断出现的，对你而言也是个很好的刷奖金、装备、打捞材料的完美场所——除了你不小心挂在里面。
使用舰载扫描器或扫描探针都可以定位异常空间。
使用舰载扫描器时，当你的战舰在太空中打开舰载扫描器界面,异常空间以有名字的信号直接出现在扫描器中,显示为空间信号的是死亡空间，需要扫描探针扫描。
第一次进入异常空间，你会发现怪又小又少，不要沮丧。只要开始攻击，敌人就会源源不断地出现。如果顶不住，最好赶快撤，留得青山在，哪怕没柴烧。当打到最后的时候有可能出或者以及远征。看个人运气和了。
首先要知道异常空间的危险性，一般高安全区的异常空间没有什么难度，都是大量的护卫舰，顶多也就还有几艘巡洋舰。而低安至0.0区的异常空间则会出现大批的巡洋舰、战列舰等大型舰船，而且偶尔还会夹带若干艘反跳小护卫，所以面对这类异常空间时，必须万分小心。
还有要注意的就是，在有些异常空间里，会存在一种可怕的建筑物——能量中和塔，俗称“毁电塔”，这些毁电塔可比玩家的毁电装备强力得多，不管你有很多电，它都能很快毁光，如果你突然发现自己的舰船没电了，这很可能导致一个十分悲剧的结局……

做这个表开始我才知道EVE汉化的有多渣渣，明明一个单词多种翻译，再有就是过去个人资料随意翻译，新人没打过，真心麻烦。
暂时 Den翻译成贼窝和老巢，我怀疑网上流传的离弃老巢的大小老巢就是forsaken和forlorn根本没翻译好，如果是我，我会翻译forsaken
遗弃或者废弃，forlorn翻译荒弃。然后统一 Den，Rally Point，Hud翻译 例如XXX Burrow我就翻译成隐秘藏身处，遗弃藏身处，荒弃藏身处,这里是国服，英文只作为参考，一切以国服名称为准。
