Shantek Studios, famous for their very successful Wheel of Wealth game (more than 700,000 downloads), are getting ready to launch their next major title, Card Arcade 3D.
The game is a follow-up to Card Arcade, currently on Windows Phone and Windows 8, and will take the title into a new dimension. It will be based on the Unity3D engine and is set to show up on all major platforms, including Steam, iOS, Android, Windows Phone, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The game carries on the same theme of the previous game, a hub full of different card games. The game is set to include the same card games seen in the previous version with many improvements, but is also set to include many additional games depending on funding levels reached.
The current version offers players several games including Memory, Blackjack, Go Fish, War, Karma and Old Maid, with the new update set to add Canasta , a variation of Skip-Bo& and a variation of Phase-10, and will include both single player and on-line cross-platform play.
Card Arcade 3D stats and game progress sync across devices (with the exception of Xbox One and PS4), which should let you start your game on your phone and then pick up game progress on your tablet or pc.
Shantek Studios are only looking to raise $3,500 as their initial goal, with the aim of obtaining some additional development and testing hardware for the game, but stretch goals will allow additional content and DLC packs and other features.
Perks for backers include being included in the credits, ad removal codes, being able to brand a card pack or even being made into a cartoon character in the game.
The ultimate perk (intended for businesses) is being able to have your brand prominently displayed in game for all players, but for that you have to stump up between $5000 and $6000.
Delivery is set for December this year, though of course we know Kickstarters often slip.
