在问世前，也有些许多关于吸血鬼的创作，19世纪的吸血鬼小说，除了波利多里、瑞莫尔、法努的那些名作之外，并不是那么流行。其他的一些超自然故事，包括大量故事、、低俗的惊险小说以及许多其他的故事、、歌剧都广为流传，但只有少不分倾及真正的吸血鬼主题（由于是用手机一字一字打出来的，所以发帖比较慢，希望大家不要介意…）
