The Lecture Building is actually broken up into two sections, the 1st and 2nd floor. Each section serves to connect to a different nightmare.
The first floor is an optional area, and isn't needed for story progression. There are two ways to enter this area. The first is through the second floor, by killing the giant and jumping down the hatch. The other way is to get the , and get picked up by the Amygdala creature who is found in a small chapel near the Great Cathedral, the area where you fight . From the lantern, exit and before you is another door. If you haven't been to the other side, then the door won't open and a guy will talk to you. Turn right and walk down the hall a little and on your right you will see a locked door. Turn to your left to find one you can open. Enter and go to the next door, open it and you will enter a lecture hall. A student will drop on you, so move quickly. Grab the
from the dead teacher, and the
from the body in the chairs. Exit the room from the opposite side you entered, and hug the left wall until you come around to another door. In the back of this room are two , and an enemy above them so grab them carefully. Exit this room and proceed forward to find a door tucked away. Enter, and in the back corner you will find two . Exit this room, and walk back down the building keeping an eye to your left. You will find a door halfway down, and will be able to open it since you have the Lecture Theatre Key. Once it's open, a bunch of students will rush you, so be ready! With them dead, enter the theatre and turn right and head through the door. In the next room is a chest containing the . That is it for items on this floor. Proceed through the door at the far end, that has swirling black mist, and you will end up in .
The second floor is where you will end up after killing
and touching the dead body beyond the boss. You are teleported into a room with a lantern. When you exit this room, go directly across to find another with a single item in it. Beware the enemy on the roof as you go to leave though. These are what is left of the students of this building. All the students in this building are weak to piercing damage. Go back to the other side now, and just a few feet up from the door you will spot a little side path. Follow it all the way down to find another door. Enter and you will be on a thin balcony overlooking a lecture room. Go to the far side and you will find yet another door and an enemy. Kill the student then enter the door to find a room. There is a note here, but that is all. Exit, turn left and take just a few steps to find another room. This is another empty room, aside from two notes. Across the way you will see a giant. He is much tougher than the other enemies here. You can ignore him for now as you finish up looting the floor. Past him, in the opposite corner of the room he stands in is another door. Enter and you will be on another balcony. Run to the far side, proceed through the door and you will find a second tier . That is all for the second floor, so go kill the giant. You can also run past him if you are having issue, and jump down the hole he guards. This will take you into an office, with a spider. He is friendly, so don't attack him! Talk to him to learn the gesture , and continue talking to him to get the tier two . You can then open the door he was on to access the first floor. This area is optional, and not required if you just wish to rush through the story. To proceed with the story, go back up to the second floor, and through the only door remaining. It has black mist swirling about it, and will drop you into the .
