Ski cross is a type of
competition. Despite its being a timed racing event, it is often considered part of

After the time trial, the fastest 32 skiers (fastest 16 if not 32 competitors) compete in a knockout series in rounds of four. A group of four skiers start simultaneously and attempt to reach the end of the course. The first two to cross the finish line will advance to the next round. At the end, the big final and small final rounds determine 1st to 4th and 5th to 8th places, respectively.

　　据了解，从欧洲传入中国的ski cross 的趣味滑雪追逐赛将于本月26日在石京龙滑雪场举办，举办者是来自北京雪浪滑雪俱乐部的一群发烧友。ski CROSS追逐赛是在一条经过特别规划的赛道上进行的,赛道是由连续的起伏,急转弯,飞跃等障碍组合而成的一条特殊的雪道,就像山地越野摩托车道一样,充满着激情与乐趣。ski CROSS 在欧洲是一项很受欢迎的滑雪项目,它是由几个人同时出发,在规划好的赛道上进行滑雪,没有时间限制,每组只选择第一个越过终点线的选手,然后进行下一轮的比赛。由于是追逐淘汰制,比赛越往后气氛会越高,目前在我国很多的滑雪高手已经不在甘心每天都在雪道上进行CARVING (回转)滑行了,这个民间赛事的举办正好符合了滑雪爱好者们的需求。
　　然而在举办者看来，这次活动不能称之为比赛，他们把ski cross追逐赛定义为滑雪爱好者的一次集结活动，就像正在热映的《集结号》一样，京城的滑雪发烧友将以趣味比赛为平台，大家在参与活动的过程中互相交流切滑雪感受，切磋技巧。本次ski cross趣味滑雪比赛不仅吸引了京城众多滑雪爱好者，同时也获得了中体冠军、海德等雪具商的支持，据了解，他们将提供价值万元的奖品用于奖励参与本次活动的滑雪爱好者们。
