Let's break this game down. Let me start this off with this is not a bad game. I REPEAT &THIS GAME IS NOT A BAD GAME&.Matter of fact this is the best sports game I have played. Let's break this down with a +/- pros and cons list. Make sure to check my updates!! Very important Update #9 (Final update)Pros:-Great atmosphere-Great gameplay-Awesome Graphics-Realism (The feel of being at the game is almost always there for me.)-Game is actually very well done from what I have played.-Great story... Yes story. In a sports game. Crazy-Possibly the best 2K gameplay ever.-Fluency with contollers is greatCons:-Servers are down no VC is available for purchase as of right now. (It's just the first day I don't blame them)-My VC that was promised when I pre-ordered the game is not available. (I think this is due to the servers)-This game is a straight hard ??? game they make your myplayer soooo hard to play with. (500 hours on 2K14 PC+360)-Servers are empty (Servers are down as of now.-(Update) MyTeam one of the most played game modes is unavailable due to the servers on PC as well. There is so much fun to have here in this game. Arguably the best sports game saga and this one is taking a shot at all of the 2K games. The story in MyCareer is the most well polished story next to Shadow of Mordor. Is this game worth it? Absoulutley. Check for updates! I got this as soon as it came out so let me know what you guys think about the game!!Update #2: Purchasable VC is still not available in game. I think this is so the players can get to play there MyPlayers with out maxing them out instantly. I have issues running this game on my 650 Ti Boost. So let's break this down.Graphics card minimum:-650 regular (Not boost)CPU:-Anything above and equal i5 pretty much (I have i7)RAM:6GB at the leastHard Drive:At least 50GB of free space on your hardrive.Update #5:I finally got my Pre-Order. Got on and now the servers are off. Again. Still only the third day. Game's are hard to get going I understand. I'm still waiting on playing the full game which should be sometime this week. There are only two problems with the game and that happens to be there aren't a lot of players at MyPark. I cannot find any players servers are empty. The 2K Servers are bugers. Now the servers are up and the game is almost at the final verdict with minor patches.Update #8: So many server issues. These issues have been all over the 2K support and Devs personal twitters. Unfortuantely I believe they're gonna do PC last. Also the MyPark's are always empty still. I met a person but only one person lol. I left. Also you can still not purchase clothes. Oh what a sad day for 2K...Update #9:Servers are back. You can pretty much do everything from this point on. The only issue I seem to face now is empty MyParks. I still haven't been able to play MyPark. It might be the park i play for the Sunset Beach Ballers is what I rep so if you wanna get dunked on feel free to come to my park
&:)Update #10 (Final):Everything is working now. The game is worth every penny. The only issues I've had are gameplay issues. Like handling the ball is so hard there is no way you aren't getting a turnover. The game is very hard. But besides that nothing seems to bother me. MyPark is always buggy but they expierenced that last year too. So whatever. So final verdict... Is this game worth it? Yes. Is the game fun absoulutley. So if you get this game meet me on the court..New: Lol people. If you expect to write reviews about this game because you can't run it on your ?????? 2008 laptop is not my fault and it's not 2Ks fault. You should know your computers limits. That goes to show why some of you can't run this game. Lol if your computer is good you can run this game don't run unless you know for a fact you can run it.

Stephen Hawking thinks AI is going to spell the end of mankind in the far future, apparently, but rest assured ladies and gentlemen. Play 150+ hours of this game and you'll learn that if IN THE YEAR 2014-15, BASKETBALL SIMULATOR VIDEO GAME AI IS INCAPABLE OF REPLICATING NORMAL BLOODY FLOOR SPACING IN A BASKETBALL SIMULATOR VIDEO GAME, THEN WE HAVE A VERY LONG TIME BEFORE THE END OF HUMANITY IS UPON US, MR.HAWKING. MY CAT COULD UNDERSTAND FLOOR SPACING BETTER THAN THE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN THIS GAME. Summary of the gameplay in NBA 2K15: Opening Tip - Win every time because the AI is incapable of timing its jump.First possession - Try to pass to open 3 point shooter, 3 point shooter AI ignores common-sense, runs into middle of the key where there are 3 other players. Pass gets aimed into cluster of players. Turnover.Opposition Possession - You play good defense, you don't allow any easy scores. The AI holds the ball until the shot clock runs down to 4 seconds, then isolates their best player. Despite having a hand in the AI's face and terrible shot selection, the opposition will somehow make a 3 pointer as the shot clock expires.2nd Possession - You move the ball around, avoiding the cheese as much as possible. Open 3 point shot to tie the game off a good screen, Steph Curry shooting. Despite the open shot for an excellent shooter, your shot will clank off the back rim and fall directly into the hands of your center. You fake a shot, try to get the defender up, and your center, I.E. LaMarcus Aldridge, an all-star and one of the best players at his position, will miss a wide-open layup. Opposition Possession - You'll play excellent on-ball defense, but your AI defender will stand in one position and allow their player to get an open layup/dunk. If your center rotates, it will be completely pointless, because every time your center contests a shot, there's either a foul or a ridiculous contested layup make.3rd Possession - By this point you're fustrated that you're down 4-0 despite doing nothing wrong. You pass to your power forward who has a ridiculous bumped up post-fadeaway rating, and exploit the overpowered post-offense system in the game. Congrats, you just cheesed your way to your first bucket.Opposition Possession - Opposition finally misses a shot! It's too bad your center doesn't offensive rebound for them, 6-2. By now you're so angry that you can't be bothering risking getting cheesed again, so for the rest of the game you just use your best post player and best 3 point shooter and throw up shots 5-6 seconds into the shot clock all game.Now rinse and repeat for 150 hours, pay $50 for VC so you can buy some over-priced and usually useless packs for your MyTeam. If you're lucky, you'll get David Lee or maybe, just maybe, Anthony Davis, who despite being a current top 3 NBA player, is incapable of making an open layup in this game.I wish I could say it gets better when you play online, and in many ways, the AI becomes a lesser factor for starters. However, everyone you play will be a 2K cheeser. I'm not exaggerating, literally everyone I've played is a cheeser. They will exploit the zig-zag 3 pointers, they will abuse the post, they will try to take charges at every chance they get (especially when you're dribbling up the court), every shot will fall their way and every shot you take will clank off the rim, wide open or not.
Especially with Kobe, apparently he shoots 25% on any jump shot in this game. You'll get about 70% of your poin in this game, alley-oops are a higher percentage shot than open 3-pointers. You get given a choice around half- stick to your principals and keep playing a clean game on your half, and lose by 25 points or more. Or, you could stoop to their level, and cheese them back, exploiting their own techniques. and maybe have a small chance of winning. MyGM is a brilliant game mode and i too bad you can buy your way to winning regardless. EDIT - Also in MyGM, terrible players will demand trades because they're coming off the bench. I had SHANE LARKIN demand I trade him because I wasn't starting him over 91 overall Dante Exum. WHEN WOULD THAT EVER HAPPEN IN REAL LIFE? Joel Embiid demanded a trade because he &wasn't happy with his usage rate& even though I was giving him 33 minutes a game and he was averaging 27ppg. Every starter was unhappy with their usage rate, every bench player is unhappy with their minutes and &organisational role&. Extremely unrealistic in that regard.AND MYCAREER. If you don't start yourself off with $20-$50 of VC, you are in for a hell of a grind my friend. I'm talking 3 minutes a game, 100 VC a match struggle here, and upgrades aren' usually around 2000 VC for a single upgrade. They took away a lot of the customization this year and restricted player overalls extremely, allowing only 1 upgrade per 7 games played once you hit the upgrade cap. Which is somewhat good for MyP but it's not like that even matters anyway because everyone on mypark just uses 7 foot small forwards with maxed out athleticism, so they have massive height advantage and the same speed as a 6'1 point guard (seriously, what the hell 2K?). Your teammates won't take open shots. I once got benched for about 15 games for literally no reason while averaging 37ppg, 12asp and 7rpg (Because I brought my way there, like a complete knob jockey). For some reason your assistant coach follows you to any team you go to, as well. In my 7th season, I still get called &Rookie& and every contract season is the exact same. It's literally like they expect you to rage quit after 10 games.But all above all, the gameplay is worth playing, and is why you put up with this dog poop. It's actually a fun game under all the glaringly obvious flaws and easily the most realistic basketball simulator I've ever played. Lot's of fun playing with friends (but I guarantee all your friends are on console, correct)?Don't expect anything to get fixed either. 2K won't listen to a damn thing you say, because they know there isn't any realistic competition on the basketball game market. Despite this, customers actually consider buying NBA Live, a god-awful piece of utter f**k-sauce, because this game is so fustrating. Yes, 2K, you treat your customers so poorly that they would consider buying a game made by EA over your overpriced garbage. Hell, if NBA Live was on PC, I'd take it into consideration if they made a half decent game. The 2K producers are decent enough people. People like Ronnie 2K, LD2K, all interact with the community, release fairly generous locker codes, listen to w thus why it fustrates me so much that they don't fix the frustrating bugs and cheesy animations. I'm certainly not one to whinge and moan about a game like this. I've played plenty of buggy, unplayable, sometimes just flat out terrible games, but when I pay $89 USD for a game (Roughly $110 Australian), I and this game has so much potential to be an enjoyable experience, it's just the little things that are holding it back from reviews like this one.9/10, I'm probably going to buy 2K16 and go through the exact same ???? again.EDIT: Now that I'm officially done playing this game, I can tell you with hindsight that the only thing to come out of this game for me is that I know all the lyrics to Aerosol Can. P.S, ][G][ The Cure, please show a hint of maturity and stop abusing anybody who comments on this review.

I bought NBA 2K15 on 10/9/14. I was skeptical considering the mixed reviews, especially considering that most of the negative reviews from users were claiming that game-breaking bugs and server issues had ruined the game-play experience. Some people even said they had lost all their progress, including their pre-order bonuses. I can't promise that these bugs don't exist, but I haven't experienced any myself. As of this writing, I've been playing 2K14 for roughly 8 hours. During that time I have only had it crash once, and I haven't experienced any graphical anomalies or bizarre glitches. After playing the disappointing port of NBA 2K14 on PC, this year's edition is a major upgrade. The graphical overhaul was much needed (no more 2D crowd members), and the game looks fantastic. In addition, the mechanics have been seriously tuned up, and shooting feels much more natural now. Career mode is all new, and I personally think the changes (from the better voice acting to the more immersive story line) significantly improve the franchise.
There are still minor gripes about the game, like how sometimes in career mode you will be assigned a certain player to defend, but suddenly that assignment will switch to a player on the other side of the court, just as that totally unreachable player is shooting the ball, resulting in a b.s. &you allowed a player to score& penalty to your team grade. But, in all sincerity, most of my gripes are minor. All in all, I'm vastly enjoying the game, and I think that 2K has done a great job making a respectable PC version of their basketball franchise. I can't promise that you won't have issues with your copy, and I won't blame you for exercising caution if you decide to wait and purchase this game after patch releases, but I personally don't regret spending the $60 at all. My rig consists of: - NVIDIA GTX 770 2GB- Intel Core i5 4590 CPU- 8GB 1600MHz Corsair Vengeance- 120GB Samsung EVO SSD- 1TB 7200RPM WD HDD (where I have the game installed)- Windows 8.1I'm running everything on max settings with no studder or frame rate issues.

This year's upgrade to the graphics and animations are wonderful, and it's super that PC players are finally treated to the same experience that console gamers have.
Unfortunately, this year's game was ultimately even more disappointing than the leftovers we got last year.
In previous years, the majority of my game time was spent in the MyPlayer mode, which allows a player to create a basketball player and progress from rookie to hall-of-fame legend.
This year, the campaign against &cheese& has effectively ruined the mode for me.
Sure, eliminating holes in the AI is great for PVP games or higher difficulty settings, but the MyPlayer mode still doesn't offer any significant options to alter difficulty.
I can absolutely understand why having a player shoot a perfect three with Kobe Bryant every time they have the ball might be undesirable in a player-versus-player match, but shot endurance working against a shooting guard trying to forge their legend in MyPlayer mode is absurd.
Shot endurance absolutely destroys my enjoyment of my favorite mode and therefore sours me on the whole franchise.
I could live with the jive-talking coaches and having an avatar that insists on ending every sentence with, &you feel me?&
Yet, having a player engineered head to toe for shooting well and being completely unable to score regardless of space or distance by the end of the first half is wrong, stupid, and frustrating, you feel me?

Fantastic game with some wonderful improvements to gameplay, animations, graphics, slick presentation and modes (my team and my career). Love basketball? Looking for a realistic simulation and one of the best sports games of the last 10 years? This is the game for you!The only issues I have had with the game was the servers had issues the first two games and you couldn't play online and also sometimes there is lag for the online MY PARK street ball games where there is 10 courts in one area. Other than that it runs well, not had any crashes yet and there are not many bugs. If you want to dunk every play this is not the game for you, this requires you to use that brain you have in your head! Be smart when you pass the ball, don't try to steal everytimeon defense, play good solid smart team basketball and use you're bench wisely! This is as close as you will get to real basketball in a videogame. it is sligthly slower paced gameplay from previous years but it fits the series perfect. The controls are also very well done, I have been playing with a xbox one controller most the time so far.With over 170 hours on this game already, it is without a doubt one of my top 10 games of 2014 and without a doubt the years best sports game. MY TEAM and MY CAREER are both improved alot and are very addicting, this game in general has a TON of content. 2K has been great for years but this is the best game they have done and it just destroys the new NBA LIVE. If you want a good sports game with a ton of content hit it up! PC finally has the next gen version and it does nto dissapoint! As long as you know this game is a sim and NOT NBA LIVE or NBA JAM, there is a great chance you will enjoy this game. It has quickly become my 7th most played game ever on steam, not long after it came out, as you can tell I am enjoying it! The hardest part will be deciding what mode you like the most! There is a ton of content in this game, MY TEAM, MY CAREER, MYPARK, quick games and of course you can do seasons with a fantasy draft, aswell as online leagues!

Easily the best 2K game I've ever played. Graphics are amazing, there are THOUSANDS of animations and they fixed a vast majority of the &little things& that ruined 2K14. The servers are having a bit of trouble currently, but that's only because the servers connect everything from PCs to XBOX consoles.The story in MyPlayer is different from last year, which leads to you continue progressing throughout a season instead of knowing what's going to happen from the previous year. I highly recommend this to any sports-games players, especially the ones who live/die for basketball games. By far the best game I've ever played, 10/10, would bang again.

Dont listen to the negitve reviews this is by far the best 2k basketball that's been released on PC, and its about time because we've been so use to getting the strip down version of the game. The graphics are top notch and I don't even have a great card. the game play has been very smooth and the realism just keeps making me wondering if this is a game or am I watching this on tv. ATM the servers are down, but since it's the first day I'm not going to complain because this game has so much to offer offline, not to mention I need practice.lol. Anyway don't be afraid at all to buy this year's game, and this coming from someone that after last years disappointment I decided that I'd probably never buy another 2k basketball game again until they fixed their issues. While I can't vouch for everything as the game has only been out for a few hours, I can say this Buy This Game It Rocks!!

Pre-purchase in Sep.Two times uddates up to now .But still some bugs exsist .The most one is the Jersey of the classic team. Hope its will be fixed.
The network is bad. I dunno if that status cuz of my network in here china.Sometime cant connect to 2k ,and some time diconnect when u play multiplay modes even the race almost ended....

This game is fantastic! ive played all NBA series since 2003, i dont want to bore you with a massive essay so here is the pros and cons:PRO'S:Great new Ai system - you need to gain chemistry to get the ball etcMyPlayer is alot more fun - your team can actually win games you dont need a massive impact in every gameGraphics are amazing and the NextGen storyline is superb adds alot more depthThe new GRADE system is alot less punishingCon's:The soundtrack could have been alot betterWill take a bit of time to adapt to the slower more realistic movement of playersThe new MyPlayer attributes are now distributed in groups (playmaker/athletic etc..) instead of single stat upgrades.I would recommend this game its currently the most realistic and well made basketball game to date.

I love this game even though your AI teammates can play quite dumb at times in my career.
The AI oppenents also play cheatfense on offense and defense.
This game has me addicted like back when I was playing live 95 for the Sega Genesis.
I really think more pc basketball fans should purchase the game despite some of the issues that people are having so that we can have a bigger community.

Considering that 1.5 hours of my playtime was spent attempting to play a single player portion of the game lets just say I'm not a very happy customer. 2K is one of the biggest game companies in the world and can't seem to be able to stress test their game's servers/not hide BS DRM in a game with this always online bullcrap. You know how to decrease stress on your servers, don't make the most popular mode (myCareer) always online like morons. Also stop defending that it's multiplayer game, this isn't Warcraft, there are like max 10 players at a time. Onto the actual game:Only played myCareer a few hours after release the game is fun, looks good, isn't really as responsive as I'd like, players feel a little heavy (Video game me should be able to react on defense better than real me) I'm not asking to be Scotty Pippin immediately but I can't even attempt to recover to at least contest a layup that would go in but look a little more realistic having someone there. It's kind of tough to get assists as a rookie on HOF difficulty but I'll figure it out. I didn't read up on this game too much before I got it because I did that last year then PC got jipped on features that really sounded cool to me. So I was really surprised to find out that I'm best friends with Andre Drummond and he can talk to me, which IS awesome. It would be more awesome if the voice acting was a little better and not so stone faced like Skyrim was. Speaking of Skyrim! The game takes up 50GB which is like 8 Skyrims.Edit: This is almost worse than I thought. Instead of making the AI smarter on harder difficulties they just make your character artificially slower which is stupid. Steve Kerr is an announcer, Stan Van Gundy's guy looks like the penguin from batman. Passing is not working right or is just made more difficult by the previously mentioned crap with difficulty level I can't tell. Myteam still doesn't work, neither does the park, or anything else online as far as I can tell. Javale McGee and Dwight Howard doing turnaround fadeaway jumpshots from 13ft out? Yup! You betcha. Invisible players interviewing with Doris, yup. Also since when does EVERY player in the NBA shoot jumpshots from 5ft out instead of a wide open layup? Oh yeah even when I do get a teammate the ball around the bucket wide open, does he brick the layup 85% of the time? I don't know why this is. Probably something to do with the difficulty level forcing me to be 80pt Kobe just to win a MyCareer game. The game seems to just want you to score 40 pts have 15 rbs and 15 asts to get a win in my career. I'm gonna turn the difficulty down to test this theory because my guys miss WIDE open transition layups all the time. The opposing teams big no matter how bad will alway get like 7 offensive rebounds and convert them almost 100% of the time. If one of the players on myPlayer's team blocks a shot the computer gets it back no matter what. Usually with a wide open layup. My team mates will not jump to block a shot after the opposing PG flies by me. But when I beat an opposing PG literally every defender jumps on me dog pile style. myPark is fun until you run into the 99ovr guy who is 99ovr on the damned 3rd day of the game being out (and playable) So that's pay to win, pointless. The entire game is designed to make you feel like you have to spend money to get VC to play well in myCareer, get cards in myTeam, do well in myPark presumably to do well in myGM. This appears to be a pretty dead eyed version of candy crush in terms of trying to get people to spend extra money on an already 70 dollar game.Also the sound keeps fading in and out which is really annoying.

- Edited -This game, as well as the rest of the series (played 2K12-15), never fails to bring me to a vast amount of cursing.I guess in that way they're consistent, consistently proving to me that no matter how much I love basketball, basketball hates me (reason to why I still buy this ???? even if it enrages me).I guess I can't hate it 'as a whole' since I've only been playing MyPlayer (same goes to earlier titles), yet here's some of the reasons I make myself heard in the entire building (apartment complex):- ????ing animation sticking, to ????ing hell to your ????ing animations 2k, jesus christ. Making a play which requires you to bypass some players means 'shove for 2 seconds', 'get stopped for 3 seconds', etc. By the time I get to position, an entire day passes. AND to make it worse, opposing players just slide right by like I'm ????ing non-existent, great... GREAT!- No sense of urgency. Building on the point earlier, everyone on MY team just loves to take their time doing something stupid. OH! Someone's going for the drive? I'll just look at him even if I'm at a good position to stop him. Someone's a renowned 3pt shooter and I'm guarding him? Better sag off to be safe and raise my hand up half a meter away from him. He doing crossovers on me? Better look like a ???????? crab that does not even work. ????ing... ????ing... ????, 2k.- Everyone ELSE is in godmode. By that I mean every single team we face, while we look like ??????? in an NBA team uniform. Open shots are STILL questionable yet even the opposing worst player shames us. OUR ????ING BIGS AREN'T BOXING OUT! What the ?????! Meanwhile on the other side, we can't even get near the paint to rebound. Good job, 2k.- My player can go ???? himself, I'm so thankful I didn't name him after me. FREE LAY-UP?! Nah man, can't get it in. SUCCESSFULLY THREW AWAY DEFENDER WITH FAKE?! Still miss horribly. SHOT METER GREAT MIDRANGE?! C at best. OH ????! I'M DEFENDING THE BACKUP OF THE BACKUP GUARD?! Can't even follow him. Amazing, 2k.- Building again on earlier point, my player still has the guts to have this confident and cocky attitude! GREAT! COZ THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS IN REAL LIFE, RIGHT? OH I CAN'T EVEN GET A FREE LAY-UP? HIRE ME NBA! Fan-????ing-tastic, 2k.- Losing a man means he will get the shot NO MATTER WHAT, even if he'll end up getting into another defender's range. On the other hand, you losing your man means you STILL have to worry about those other guys inside. REAL LIFE SIMULATION RIGHT HERE. Brilliant, 2k.- Brainless AI. I had to put the damn coach plays to auto so that my teammates could partially (0.001%) think. Beautiful part in this is how they're still EXTREMELY STUPID. Deviate from a play since you see an open man... NO, he passes it out and we're back to square 1... with 5 seconds left. I heart you so much, 2k.- On-Ball Defense is hell on earth. It only takes one (sometimes not even required) pick to get me from the guy I'm defending to Tokyo... if we're playing maybe in Midwest US. Sometimes you trip for no god damn reason, no crossover, no trick moves, nothing, you just pull left... trip like an idiot. Superb work, 2k.- PLAYER FOCUS. I don't... sometimes... I just switch off for a minute just because my anger was too far the limit in situations like this. I didn't and never will (don't quote me on this) just suddenly face another opposing player ESPECIALLY when the one I'm already guarding has the ball. In this game, happens 99.97%
(ok in truth just 80%) of the time. Very. very. nice. 2k.- The last thing I'd want after my opposing man gets through me (lots of times in the most idiotic matter) is HIS FACE. I don't know what this is for but closing up on the player can sometimes piss people off (well... me, really). It's not much so I'm not sure if I'm against you on this, 2k.... So far, that's it. I can't believe it really. Basketball's been something I enjoyed... well... watching. Playing it irl has been decently fun and then I come HERE... I lose faith in humanity... Thank you... you sons of ?????es there in 2k... thank you.

For many long-time NBA 2K fans, MyPlayer/MyCareer is THE mode. And unfortunately 2K has made this mode a lot less enjoyable this year. There are issues both on and off the court. The introduction of shot fatigue doesn't make sense. If the aim is to address balance issues, I am afraid it is simply not the way to do it. Instead of making the game more realistic, it too often will make the game completely ridiculous. After taking 30 or so shots, you will mysteriously freeze no matter how hard you have worked to get all the open looks you need. It effectively puts a crude and arbitrary hard cap on your scoring prowess. The issue is then compounded by the frustrating teammate AI and shooting percentage in HOF difficulty: so if you don't score enough before the final quarter, your team will most likely fall into an un but if you did take enough shots to keep your team in the game, in the 4th you will be made absolutely useless in terms of scoring, and then good luck relying on your teammates! Basically, you will no longer be able to recreate naratives such as 4th quarter heroics, and epic single-game scoring rampage. Speaking of naratives, the story of your player is so scripted that it will leave you few meaningful options and definitely little room for imagination. All in all, it makes one of the least satisfying experiences out of the game's recent iterations.
