The former SK Telecom T1 player was originally set to compete in Proleague as a part of the Startale-Yoe alliance, but contract regulations have barred him from the tournament.Contrary to
PartinG did not leave SK Telecom T1 at the end of his contract as a free agent. KeSPA regulations require a player to play on a team for at least five years to obtain free agent status (clarification via DES reporter ). As PartinG left SK Telecom before this period, KeSPA has designated him as a player who has 'arbitrarily left' left his team. In such cases, the player's contract is suspended while all rights to player remain with his original team.According to DES,
is only eligible to play for SK Telecom T1, unless SKT puts in a request to the KeSPA chairman to free PartinG from the restriction.Furthermore,

Though both players have played with SK Telecom for over five years, neither player had filled the requisite five years since their previous free agency.TL;DR: PartinG, Rain, and Fantasy cannot compete in Proleague this season, unless it is for SK Telecom T1. The reason is that they did not leave SKT as free agents, leaving their Proleague rights remaining with SKT. This is due to KeSPA regulations where players must fill a certain length of time on their contracts before being eligible for free agency status.

PartinG didn't respect the power of the KeSPA. He should know better, being a Protoss player.I guess SKT could waive their rights and let him play but then why would they if it could hurt their chances of winning.

What if It's all a set up in collaboration with Coach Oov?Parting doesn't want to play in Proleague, but he wants to join YFW and get all the benefits and freedoms that it entails. Well, that's pretty big stamp on Startale's chances this season.4 years is quite a lot though, but i guess, this is pretty old rule.On the other hand, i don't think that either Yoe won't be able to pay transfer fee or they won't find a solution if they really want to, PartinG, Rain, and Soulkey are pretty big faces of KeSPA throughout last years. how in the world would Rain and Fantasy fall under this provision? They've been with SKT for a long time.either way, this rule is dumb in every way. especially now, in a climate where SC isn't the dominant esport and players change teams all the time. when people are fleeing kespa teams for the freedom of foreign tournaments, now probably isn't the best time to arbitrarily prevent people from playing in proleague.
I understand that it's a rule and Kespa has always been pretty severe but four years is too much in Esports!Poor PartinG

以后发此类帖子请贴出文字来照顾爪鸡党。教主对来福值得一看。CJ我觉得机会不大，SKT后两分胜算很大，前两分除了Dark以外，Soulkey对Bbyong也不虚。然后SKT对三星，都还有机会。PartinG又抓了T，不过RorO抓住了大雨神。输本虽然很强，但是我们要相信送兵(biang)菇。Solar虽然状态不好，但说不定能莽死Soulkey。
