【英文天天写】 140106 停下是为了更好的前进

1、本节目是一档写作类节目，目的在于提升大家的英语写作能力，每天晚20点准时发布。
2、每期节目选取当下国内外热点槽点话题，由主持人给出写作提示和范文后发布。
3、节目参与形式为： 1）沪友递交自己的作文。 2）除首层楼之外，其他参与沪友对自己楼上的沪友作文进行点评。 3）主持人按照点评标准选取作文进行点评。 4、写作字数限制为100个单词左右。由于主持人时间和精力有限，不能对所有沪友递交的作文进行点评，因此采用如下点评标准： 1)写作字数在100个单词左右。 2)除首层楼的沪友外，其他参与沪友要对自己楼上沪友的作文进行简单点评（可以从拼写、语法、遣词造句、行文结构等方面进行点评，不求多么精确，但求互相鼓励。因为主持人受限于时间和精力可能照顾不到每一个沪友，因此希望大家能够多多互动，多多交流，多多讨论。讨论和交流的过程本来也就是一个进步的过程。）
3)在节目发布后的48小时内递交作文。 4）递交作文对所有沪友开放。因为点评数量有限，如果设置了“仅楼主可见”，那么其他参与沪友只能看到主持人的点评，却看不到作文。这样就白白浪费了一次汲取经验的机会
。5）符合以上条件的沪友，会按照回复楼层从上到下进行点评。每期每个小编至少点评10名，大家要珍惜机会噢。
注：考虑到有一些沪友会提前抢占楼层，随后才递交作文。因此，实际点评顺序以小编值班时的作文楼层顺序为准。

We all need to get the balance right, between action and reflection. With so many distractions, it is easy to forget to pause and take stock.
Be it through contemplation, prayer or even keeping a diary, many have found the practice of quiet personal reflection surprisingly rewarding, even discovering greater spiritual depth to their lives. Reflection can take many forms. When families and friends come together at Christmas, it's often a time for happy memories and reminiscing. Our thoughts are with those we have loved who are no longer with us. We also remember those who through doing their duty cannot be at home for Christmas, such as workers in essential or emergency services. And especially at this time of year, we think of the men and women serving overseas in our armed forces. We are forever grateful to all those who put themselves at risk to keep us safe. Service and duty are not just the guiding principles of yesteryear. They have an enduring value which spans the generations.
When it mentions reflection, it reminds me of the Sunday’s importancein one’s life. For Christine and Jewish, the Sunday is a day of religiousservice. At that day, all the stores close the door and all the people go to thenearest church to worship the God. More importantly, it’s a golden chanceto reflect what you’ve done in the past week, what’s the deeds you have doneand who has helped you in the past week and Sunday is the good chance toexpress your gratitude to the helpers. Therefore, through the regularreflection, one could be rewarded by clearly knowing that who he is and whom hewants to be.
Nowadays, the Sunday is just another day of action, ratherthan reflection even if we call it “Li Bai Tian”. As Elisabeth said, onlyaction without reflection, one can only become a machine rather than a livingman.
Self-reflection is of the same importance with action. After engaging ambitiously on work for a certain period of time, taking a break to think what you have learned will get work done more smoothly onc when attending a super awesome party, stopping your dance for a while to think how lucky you are makes you are more grateful to life, after a fierce argue with your best friend, try to calm down and look through yourself , and an apology wins more.Stopping to have a self-reflection at some appropriate time enables us run faster. This is same as looking into a mirror to find out if you are neatly dressed, looking into yourself to find out whether you act like you wanted.&
IVYYINGCROSS:
One of Confucius sayings goes, "learn and review it from time to time, isn't it a pleasure?" It is more than that today, for self-reflection can be a process of learning, it can also be a time for identifying ourselves.Self-reflection is vital. First, it refreshes our mind. No matter sorrow comes or happiness arrives, rethinking the precious moment of tears and laughs will actually tell us how happy we have already been and should cherish what we have. Second, it energizes our morale. We can be indulged in the pain we are suffering, but by reviewing the best time of ours, will definitely open up a window to current situation. This is espcially true for those who are striving for their career. Third, it reminds us of the past errors. By reflecting on ourselves, we can and should be able to identify the mistakes we unintentionally or deliberately made. No rechoose the wrong track as we did.&

When time stretches before us, we are easily to miss some vital things. Ordinarily, not until we are ill, we hardly pay enough attention to the health, or have planned but not act. We need, of course, pause the life for a moment and think about the reality. Sometimes, we even know where we will go. Thus it is such an important thing to stop and observe the road we are walking throng. It is necessary to reflect from time to time in our whole life in order not to make the same mistakes and seek for a better life.Last but not least, action is even more important than reflection!

We have become busier than ever. Period. We do not stop and pause to think things through. Even our attention is not required at the moment, we shift to our electronics to fill up every idle minute. Few people appreciate and vale idleness these days, as a lot of things demand and lure our attention. And we want get a head start and become successful.
However, idleness can bring up creative ideas and more. It may sounds counterintuitive. But it validates its value in many cases. If we keep rushing through all days, always as busy as a bee, we are not going to be aware of
the right direction we are heading toward, saving unnecessary tests. Taking a break and being content with alone time actually help us to be more productive.

When talking about reflection, I can remember an evaluation about the Chinese, which is criticized by a french writer, that the Chinese is always hurry.As he said, the Chinese is more busy now: they go to anywhere by jogging lest that they can't reach in time.I can't support all his view because he didn't look over this problem in our side.Following the great progress in China recently, the Chinese have had to face the more pressure than ever.They must do every fast.If they didn't get the rhythm, they would fall behind the others.But one thing the writer is right.That is we should slow down and reflect for ourselves.
I consider that there are two kind of self-reflections.One is thinking about how to do in next, the other is considering what to do in future.If your work
relates to some repeated operate or your hard work gets a bad result and you have another chance, you should reflect all the detail in your concerned things, and you will do better next time.I think this form of reflection is self-examination.But when you recall your life that you have lived, absorb all the information in your live and image the future, the reflection is not only the self-examination but the summarize.
In my opinion, if you do more summarize and less self-examination, it is better.You can stand up again after you fall down, but you have rarely little chance to go back and choice the other way.

在写作中有个词叫平行结构，感觉类似于中文中的对子，要求很高但是读起来很带劲，建议第二句可以再对称一些most of those and your inner world~`good job ,see you next time
